I started dreaming up seed bomb dispensers around the city. How magnificent would it be for the community to have wildflowers and pollinator plant seeds at the ready, to help activate empty lots and underutilized urban land? It could bring more joy for humans, more pollinators to the city, and improve the soil quality while posing larger questions about what the people want for the future of the city as it becomes more dense and land continues to be covered in concrete. What exactly are we planning for? Who has a voice and the power to decide? How will we speak for life that doesn’t have a voice, or have quieter ones? How can guerrilla actions and art instillations lead to social change and eventually policy change?
